A Little About Us
Founded by Patty Giarrusso in 2013 when she lost her two dogs, Jackson Browne and Rocko, she then embarked on a mission. That mission has led to the Lost and Found Pets 941 (Lost Pet Services ) Facebook group which is now the largest, most active lost and found group in the Manatee - Sarasota County areas covering Sarasota, Bradenton, Palmetto, Parrish, Ellenton, Venice, Northport, Myakka and areas beyond. The group reached 30,000 members in June 2020 and has successfully reunited 1,000s of local pets with their owners.
All services the group offers are free.
Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their families as a free service to our animal community.
Lexie - missing for more than 110 days
"We can't thank you all enough for the many hours spent driving around, hanging signs and sharing this post. Nicole received a call from animal services this morning to bring Lexie home. Apparently, the nursing home behind the racetrack gas station, east of 75, had seen her around for the past couple of weeks. Animal services then set a trap last night and she was found in it this morning. She went to the vet first thing and Is very skinny! So thank you again!!!"
Lindsay Blakeley Perez
sister of Lexie's owner
Tugboat - missing for 114 days
"Savannah, Tugboat and I want to thank all the wonderful people that offered their help, their time, their thoughts and prayers. And Lynn, we will never forget that you cared enough to do what it took to get him back to us!
So to all of you who have lost a pet we want our story to remind you to never give up hope. And to all you amazing people with huge hearts that understand how much we love them and help get them home again, we will forever be thankful for the part you played."
Ever gratefully yours,
Savannah, Tugboat, and Isabella
