Hazel

Traumatic Accident & Amputation Recovery

Hazel, a sweet 8-month-old pitbull, suffered a devastating accident after getting lost and being struck by a car. The impact left her with a severe fracture that was beyond repair and ultimately required a life-saving leg amputation performed by the veterinary team at Bayshore Animal Hospital. Her owner was facing overwhelming financial hardship and couldn't afford the necessary emergency care, but thanks to our safety-net support, Hazel received the extensive surgical treatment she needed. Today, she is doing wonderfully and thriving through her recovery!
