Benji

Full of Bladder Stones

Benji

A sweet little maltese mix, Benji, was originally a found dog that was never claimed. Probably due to his multiple medical issues and his age. He is a senior boy who was in need of a lot of medical care.

Somehow, this little guy was carrying the worst load of bladder stones our vet partner, Bayshore Animal Hospital, had seen in such a small dog. He must have been in so much pain.

Thankfully, we were able to provide lifesaving and life-changing surgery for him. He suffered not only from the terrible bladder stones, but he also had a urinary tract infection, worms and an infected cherry eye.

Benji received surgery, treatment for his other ailments and a brand new shiny microchip. :)

His new parents, graciously contributed toward his bill, which was very much appreciated.

Funding for Benji's care was made possible through our Medical Assistance Program for emergency, trauma and surgical cases from a grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County through their Animal Welfare Grant Program thanks to the Martha Leiter and Nancy Streetman Fund I and Robert Parker Fund.
