Marmalade's Fund began as a way to honor the legacy of a cat who won the hearts of many.
Found on the side of a busy road by a dedicated volunteer of Lost Pet Services believing he was deceased, she picked him up and found him still alive but unable to move. He had dragged himself out of the road and collapsed against the curb.
He was brought to a local vet where x-rays and pain medication was given, however, his injuries were too severe. He was humanely euthanized and his veterinary costs and cremation were covered by the dedicated members of Lost Pet Services.
Marmalade was the name given to him so he would not be nameless. Because he wasn't microchipped or wearing ID tags, we were never able to bring closure to his family.
Through Marmalade's Fund, we will be able to assure that no other lost pets are left alone in pain without care and love if they are found injured. All monies donated will go to Marmalade's Fund as part of our Medical & Pet Assistance Program. Any donations received above and beyond the program needs will be added to our microchipping and ID tag programs.
Rest assured 100% of your donation goes directly to our programs for lost pets. All our services are free of charge and there is no paid staff. Our work is all done voluntarily.
Donations are tax deductible and can be made by check, credit card or through your PayPal account.
